Aston Villa have been given a massive boost in the fight against relegation, as they can now recall England keeper Tom Heaton.

The shot stopper was out injured with a knee problem.

But the delay in games due to COVID-19 has given him enough time to get back to fitness.

They will have to assess his fitness in detail, as bringing him back into the fold means that Pepe Reina or another keeper will have to make way.

He was removed from their 25-man league squad in January, as he was not meant to get to fitness until the season had almost finished.

Now Villa have a decision to make on the identity of their three keepers for the rest of the season, when play resumes.
