Togo international Razak Boukari is a £3 million target for Everton and Aston Villa.
The Sunday Mirror says the Lens attacking midfielder is his club's player of 2009. He helped them win the Ligue 2 title last May, and they have since made a sound start to life in the French top flight.
Rival bosses Martin O'Neill and David Moyes are both following his progress. And Boukari admitted: "I would love to play in England one day."
Boukari, 22, is also wanted by Rennes. But despite naming Arsenal as his dream club, he would move to Goodison or Villa Park in preference to Lens' French rivals.
