Aston Villa are determined not to lose striker Andi Weimann.
The Daily Star says he has turned down an initial offer to extend his contract, which has just over a year to run.
He is looking to more than double his current £15,000-a-week deal to sign the four-year contract Villa would like to get him on.
But his representatives and club officials have agreed to put all talks on ice until Villa's future is decided one way or the other.
