Aston Villa boss Sherwood concedes Arsenal simply too good

Aston Villa boss Tim Sherwood had no complaints after Arsenal's 4-0 FA Cup final rout.

Sherwood spoke of his frustration at the manner in which the game panned out, especially given the tremendous backing of the claret and blue faithful from the first whistle.

He said: "They deserved to win the game - no arguments about that. They've got outstanding world class footballers and today we couldn't nullify their threat.

"We couldn't impose ourselves on them either. I'm disappointed. I haven't watched the game back so it's hard to dissect it.

"It's quite obvious they had their own way today and we couldn't stop them.

"They dominated the football match. I tried to stop them and then we tried to impose ourselves but it wasn't good enough.

"I played the way I felt best suited the players I had and unfortunately today it wasn't quite good enough.

"I feel sick so do the boys in there.

"You only know how good winning feels until you watch a team walk around with the Cup."
