Christian Benteke wants to ensure he will be Liverpool's number one striker before committing to the club.
According to the Daily Mail, the Belgium international is seeking assurances that he will the Reds main man if he decides to leave Aston Villa for Anfield.
Benteke is a £30million target for Liverpool who are set to continue their pursuit after Saturday's FA Cup final which will feature Villa and Arsenal at Wembley.
24-year old Benteke has flourished under Tim Sherwood in the second half of the season, scoring 13 goals in 14 outings, and reportedly wants to be guaranteed regular game time on Merseyside if he is to up and leave Villa Park.
