Premier League club Aston Villa will compete in this year's BBVA Compass Dynamo Charities Cup.
The West Midlands outfit have accepted an invitation from MLS club Houston Dynamo to play off in the 2014 version which will take place on July 26 at BBVA Compass Stadium.
This is the sixth season that the Dynamo have arranged for an international opponent and president Chris Canetti was excited about impending visit of the Villa Park club.
"We are extremely pleased to be hosting Aston Villa and honored to have them here for the Dynamo Charities Cup," said Canetti.
"They are a club with a great history and storied tradition from one of the greatest soccer leagues in the world. It will be an exciting night for our club and fans."
Furthermore, Villa chief Paul Faulkner offered the following: "Our previous US tours have been exciting and hugely positive experiences for the Club and I'm sure we will work hard to ensure we achieve further development into a country in which the game is increasingly taking root."
Previous Dynamo cups have involved visits from Stoke City (England), Valencia CF (Spain), Bolton Wanderers (England), Club Deportivo Aguila (El Salvador) and CF Monterrey (Mexico).
