Official release from Portland Timbers
The Portland Timbers today announced the departure of assistant coach Trevor James from the team's technical staff.
James spent one season with the Timbers after five years as an assistant coach and director of player development with the LA Galaxy.
"I am proud to have played a role in the achievements of the Timbers first MLS campaign and would like to thank everyone at the club for this opportunity. We wish the club much success in the years to come.""My wife, Tiffany, and I have enjoyed our time in Portland," James said. "From standing on the rain-soaked field during our home opener while the Timbers Army sang the national anthem in front of a national TV audience, to the injury-time equalizer in the last minute of our final game of the season, it has been a privilege to be a part of the passion that is the Portland Timbers.
