Newcastle United manager Alan Pardew has been assured by club owner Mike Ashley that his job is safe.
Pardew is facing a ten match ban after his clash with Hull City midfielder David Meyler on Saturday.
The Telegraph says he has been assured by Ashley that his job is not under any threat in the short term, despite the negative publicity he has generated.
