Nir Biton is on the verge of completing his transfer from FC Ashdod to Celtic.

Reports suggest that the 21-year old midfielder has agreed personal terms with the Scottish champions and now only needs to pass a medical and receive a work permit.

Biton, who has played for Israel on six occasions, trialled with Manchester City last season but is set to head over to Glasgow to link up with fellow countryman Beram Kayal and ex-Ashdod teammate Efe Ambrose.
