Arsenal's Wilshere switches management representation

Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere has signed with a new management firm, joining newly launched agency 10Ten Talent, reports, www.sportspromedia.com/. The England international joins retired player Glenn Hoddle on the books at 10Ten, which is being launched by veteran agent Terry Byrne alongside Brazilian great Pele, who will be a partner in the business.

Byrne, the former agent of Paul Gascoigne and one-time personal manager of David Beckham, already has interests in several companies, including 1966 Entertainment, United Marketing International, Iconic Images and A1 Sporting Memorabilia.

10Ten Talent will handle all facets of its clients' off-pitch affairs, including management, marketing, branding, PR and sponsorship.

"I am looking forward to working with Terry and the team at 10Ten," Wilshere, formerly a Wasserman Media Group client, said.

"Their knowledge and experience in the football industry gives me the confidence to ensure my career goes from strength to strength."

Byrne added: "I am very excited to be looking after such a variety of high profile individuals. Having had the pleasure of previously working with both David Beckham and Pele this gave me a valuable insight, unique understanding and vital experience which I can bring to the management of all my clients including the talented Jack Wilshere."

Ranked by SportsPro as the world's 29th most marketable athlete in 2013, Wilshere currently has endorsement contracts with Nike and Pepsi.
