Arsenal goalkeeper Jens Lehmann is backing Germany teammate Michael Ballack to break back into Chelsea's plans once he is fully fit.

Lehmann told the German press: "Playing is important, of course, but there is no substitute for ability.

"Michael Ballack has been out for half a year, but he will play again and hopefully play well. You have got to make the most of such breaks."
