Arsenal youngster Thomas Eisfeld inspired by Germany's wave of No10s

Arsenal youngster Thomas Eisfeld is being inspired by the raft of top No10s making their mark for Germany.

Mario Gotze, 20, Mesut Ozil, 24, Marco Reus, 23, and Julian Draxler, 19, were all nurtured by German academies before eventually going on to excel at Champions League level.

Eisfeld admits he has been inspired by the success of that quartet, and believes a heightened focus on technique in training has helped them to maximise their potential.

"I think it [their emergence] has a lot to do with the youth in Germany at the moment, because a lot of hard work is being done there," Eisfeld told Arsenal Player.

"I remember from my time in Germany, we did a lot of work with the ball. Maybe in the past it was different in Germany. There was more of an emphasis on tackling and battling for possession.

"Now there's more stress on passing, dribbling and technical ability.

"[Ozil, Reus, Draxler and Gotze] are all sublime players. I think I can take a lot from their game and I will. I want to learn a lot from them."
