Sven-Goran Eriksson's opinion on Arsenal's Theo Walcott has not changed in the past decade.
The Swedish coach selected the inexperienced Walcott for the 2006 World Cup when he was a skinny, yet speedy 17-year-old.
Eriksson was criticised heavily for taking the punt on such a young player but 10 years later, he feels it was the right thing to do even if Walcott failed to play a minute in Germany.
"In my case, my special player was Walcott," Eriksson told The Sun.
"He was - and still is - a great talent.
"His pace was unbelievable. He was one of the quickest players I have ever seen."
