Arsenal starlet Aaron Ramsey admits he grew up idolising Manchester United ace Ryan Giggs.

United tried hard to land Ramsey, but the former Cardiff City youngster chose Arsenal last year.

Speaking to Arsenal's official matchday programme, Ramsey spoke highly of United great Giggs: "A lot of young Welsh people look up to Ryan Giggs - he's been playing for goodness knows how many years and has remained at the top level, still going strong for Manchester United.

"You have to respect that. He's a great player - skilful, takes on players, can score, and there's plenty to learn from him."
