Arsenal urged by Coquelin to carry momentum forward

Arsenal midfielder Francis Coquelin has implored his team to continue on with their winning form in the wake of Tuesday night's triumph over Bayern Munich.

The North London club had dropped their opening two Champions League fixtures to Dinamo Zagreb and Olympiakos with the most recent coming at home in late September.

Since that defeat to the Greek side, Arsenal have beaten Manchester United and Watford 3-0 before accounting for German giants Bayern 2-0 in Europe and Coquelin is looking for more of the same as the season progresses.

"In the first two games we didn't perform and we knew we had to win here to stay in the competition," said the Frenchman.

"We have been doing really well in the league and we had to do that in the Champions League too, and we have done that so we have to carry on in that way."

Arsenal next meet Everton at the Emirates in the Premier League on Saturday.
