Arsenal are being linked with Bayer Leverkusen star Lars Bender.
Bender is emerging as an alternative for Arsenal to Real Madrid midfielder Sami Khedira.
The Daily Express says German sources claim Gunners manager Arsene Wenger will resume his interest in Bayer Leverkusen star Lars Bender because Khedira is likely to pen a new deal at the Bernabeu.
Bender appears to be well suited to a Gunners team in desperate need of a competent holding midfielder.
