Arsenal are on red alert over a bust-up at Everton involving Nikica Jelavic. The Daily Express says Jelavic could hand in a transfer request and leave Everton after his extraordinary row with new boy Kevin Mirallas.

The Croatian striker reportedly lambasted Mirallas for being selfish during the Merseyside derby against Liverpool last month.

Jelavic has clashed with Mirallas before, and with relations having soured between the two, it is understood he wants to leave Goodison Park.

Arsene Wenger had been tenuously linked with Jelavic before his move from Rangers to Everton, but he looks poised to revive his interest in January.
