Proposed Arsenal target Mario Gotze has signed a new deal with Borussia Dortmund.
The German starlet had reportedly been lined up by the Gunners for a possible summer pursuit but that has now been put on the backburner after he put pen to a fresh contract which will see him remain at Signal Iduna Park until 2016 after his initial deal had him staying there until 2014.
"Everyone knows how comfortable I feel in Dortmund and I want to be part of this development," Gotze told the club's official website.
Apart from Arsenal, the 19-year old ace was also attracting attention from the likes of Manchester United and Real Madrid but this occurrence suggests he is fairly content in Dortmund.
