Arsenal striker Giroud: Play Bendtner instead of me

Arsenal striker Olivier Giroud admits he'd welcome a break next week.

Giroud, who has been a central figure in Arsenal's fine start to the season, suggested deputy striker Nicklas Bendtner will need to step up in the League Cup as he needs a rest.

He said: "I feel good. Maybe I will have some rest next week, for the Capital One Cup, I will speak to the boss.

"I'm used to playing a lot of games and I feel good with my body so touch wood, no injuries."
