Arsenal, Spurs target Schneiderlin doesn't expect Southampton return

Morgan Schneiderlin doesn't expect to return to Southampton after the World Cup.

The Daily Star says the Frenchman is so confident of joining the Southampton exodus he has told team-mates he won't be back after the World Cup.

Arsenal and Tottenham are now set for a £20m battle over the classy French anchor man.

Manager Mauricio Pochettino, Rickie Lambert, Adam Lallana and Luke Shaw have already quit St Mary's this summer.

And Schneiderlin expects to follow them through the exit door once he returns from international duty in Brazil.

Gunners boss Arsene Wenger is a long-term admirer of Schneiderlin and preparing to firm up his interest with an offer.
