Arsenal skipper Thomas Vermaelen admits playing in the World Cup with Belgium would be "amazing".
It is seen by some observers as Belgium's 'golden generation' and Vermaelen hopes they can fulfil their promise over the coming years.
"At the moment everyone is really positive about the national team, especially in England because they know a lot of players in the Premier League that play for Belgium," he told Arsenal Player.
"Everybody is talking about the talented group we have. But that means the expectations and the pressure is higher. Everybody expects us to go to the World Cup but it's not easy. You have to fight for every three points because the international level is quite high.
"For me it would be amazing, it would be an honour [to go to Brazil 2014]. I haven't played a tournament at that level yet. I'm getting older as well so I want to play at a big tournament. I feel the time is now to go through."
