Kieran Tierney is expected to sign a new five-year contract with Arsenal in the coming weeks.

The Scotland defender still has three years remaining on his current deal.

But the Gunners wanted to reward Tierney with a bumper new contract which includes improved terms, per The Guardian.

The 24-year-old is viewed as a future captain of the north London club, having excelled over the past two seasons since his move from Celtic.

With Tierney tied down, Arsenal will turn their attention to securing Emile Smith Rowe to a new deal.

Aston Villa made an approach for the 20-year-old which was swiftly rejected by Arsenal.
