Arsenal midfielder Mikel Arteta says he still has his sights set on playing for the Spanish national team.
The 29-year old has never represented Spain at senior level after impressive youth performances but still feels he has the ability to push into the squad alongside the likes of Andres Iniesta, Xavi Hernandez, Juan Mata, Cesc Fabregas and Sergio Busquets.
"I would have liked to have played for the national side already. Of course," he said.
"The competition is extremely strong but I won't rule anything out. Being in the Champions League with Arsenal, we'll see if my level is good enough for the international team or not."
