Arsenal have put together a lucrative package to tempt Wayne Rooney away from Manchester United. The Daily Star says the Gunners are convinced they have a realistic chance of persuading the England striker to join their revolution.
Arsenal would like to see a dream partnership of Real Madrid's Gonzalo Higuain as a central striker with Rooney playing behind him.
Arsenal feel they can also sway the 27-year-old with the fact he would be playing with England team-mates Theo Walcott, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Jack Wilshere.
Rooney would command wages of more than £200,000 a week, but the Gunners seem to be ready to make that huge step.
