Arsenal have ended their pursuit of Bordeaux striker Marouane Chamakh.
The Gunners refused to up the ante on their initial bid of £6million for the Morocco international.
Arsene Wenger believes it will be better value to wait until next summer and sign Chamakh on a free transfer when his contract with Bordeaux expires but that could be problematic for the French tactician as Premier League rivals West Ham and Fulham are set to pounce before the transfer window closes.
