Arsenal planning mega £100M market spend

Arsenal are planning a mega £100m market spend this summer.

The Sun says the Gunners retain an interest in Atletico Madrid midfielder Thomas Partey and Lille centre-back Gabriel Magalhaes, while they are also hopeful of extending Dani Ceballos' loan deal from Real Madrid.

Making those additions would cost the club £100m, but the Gunners will do all they can to bring in their prime targets.

However, the report adds that the north London side will be forced to sell at least three of their current squad members and perhaps a couple more to fund the moves for Partey, Magalhaes and Ceballos.

Partey has been top of Arsenal's shopping list and is reportedly keen on a move to London, but Atletico Madrid are insisting the Ghanaian's £45m release clause is met.

It is also understood that manager Mikel Arteta is keen on signing Magalhaes, who is keen to join up with former team-mate Nicolas Pepe, but Manchester United, Everton and Napoli all remain interested in the 22-year-old.

Arsenal are also trying to come to an agreement with Real Madrid over Ceballos, but while the Premier League side prefer a loan move with an option to buy at the end of next season, Madrid want to sell the Spain midfielder this summer and are looking for around £30m.
