Arsenal are preparing a January bid for Celtic defender Virgil van Dijk. The Daily Star says the Gunners are set to bid £8m for Van Dijk in January.
Gunners boss Arsene Wenger is keen to boost his defensive options in the transfer window having failed to replace the departed Thomas Vermaelen during the summer.
According to reports in Scotland, the Frenchman had Van Dijk watched in Celtic's Europa League clash with Dinamo Zagreb two weeks ago and is now preparing an £8m offer.
Manchester United are also in the hunt for the 23-year-old and the clubs are set to go head-to-head in January.
