Chuba Akpom has stated clearly his intentions for the 2015/16 season with Arsenal.
The 19-year-old striker has been with the Gunners since he was just six years old after coming through the north London club's youth academy.
Akpom made his Arsenal debut in September 2013 and has tallied nine senior appearances but is mainly seen as a player for the future by Arsene Wenger.
However, the promising talent is eager to force his way into the first team after netting a hat-trick in Arsenal's 4-0 Barclays Asia Trophy win over a Singapore Select XI on Wednesday.
"I'm buzzing for the hat-trick but most importantly I'm buzzing for the win," Akpom, who has spent time on loan with Brentford, Coventry City and Nottingham Forest, told Arsenal Player.
"It was a good team performance but it was even better to get a hat-trick. I'm just hoping I can carry on my form for the rest of the pre-season and take it into the season.
"I've been at Arsenal since I was six years old, so that's a few years and I really want to stay here. This season could be a big season for me and with a lot of hard work it could be a breakthrough season for me. The main thing is to stay here and I think the loans have helped me gain experience. I'm just getting better every time."
