FC Cologne manager Frank Schafer suggests that Lukas Podolski's summer transfer to Arsenal has freshened the player.
The German international striker was officially announced as a Gunners player with his contract to begin following the current season and Schafer believes the finalisation of the deal has given him more 'energy' to help his club avoid Bundesliga relegation.

26-year old Podolski, who will represent Germany at the upcoming European Championships, will officially join Arsenal once the summer transfer window opens.
