Arsenal must beat Monaco spending power to land Batshuayi

Arsenal are battling AS Monaco for Standard Liege striker Michy Batshuayi.

HLN says the Gunners face a battle for summer target Batshuayi - with moneybags French club AS Monaco having sent assistant manager Jean Petit to watch the striker on Friday.

Arsenal have long been mooted as a potential destination and he has recently spoken of his interest in a move to England.

But Monaco, backed by Russian billionaire Dmitry Rybolvlev, have plenty of money to spend and must strengthen their squad this summer ahead of a return to the Champions League.
