Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is ready to step in and trump Tottenham for Malaga midfielder Santi Cazorla. The Sunday Mirror says Wenger was keen to sign the 27-year-old Spanish international from Villarreal a year ago.

But Cazorla opted for Malaga in a £17.5million deal. But Malaga have now hit severe financial problems and Wenger is considering a renewed approach and could get him at a cut-price £10 million.
