Arsenal midfielder Thomas Partey left out of Ghana squad

Arsenal midfielder Thomas Partey is out of the Ghana squad for their upcoming World Cup qualifiers.

Partey is not going to participate in the games due to COVID-19 travel restrictions, per the Evening Standard.

Anyone who departs the UK and returns from "red list" countries has to quarantine for ten days, without any exceptions.

Since athletes are not exempt, clubs in Europe are not allowing players to leave for international games that involve travel to such nations.

Ghana are playing in South Africa on March 25th, which is a red list country.

Partey will remain with the Gunners throughout the break.
