Arsenal midfielder Mohamed Elneny has suffered a major injury setback.
Elneny sustained a long-term hamstring injury in Saturday's 2-1 win against Fulham.
The Athletic says the 30-year-old suffered a significant injury during the victory, and claim it was not until after the match that the issue became apparent.
Elneny's injury is reportedly being assessed and it is not yet known how long he will be out of action, but initial indications suggest he could miss a substantial chunk of the season.
His injury adds to a worsening midfield situation at Arsenal, with Ghana international Thomas Partey also expected to miss a couple of weeks with his thigh problem.
