The Sun says Pepe, 22, is one of the most wanted men in Europe at present, having attracted interest from a whole host of clubs, including Barcelona and Bayern Munich.

But both Jose Mourinho and Unai Emery hope to make a swoop for the star, who they have been monitoring for several months.

United and Arsenal both sent representatives to watch Pepe in action against Dijon this weekend.
