Arsenal make contact with Real Madrid for Casillas price

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger would welcome Real Madrid legend Iker Casillas to the Emirates. The People says Wenger has tested the water to see if the 31-year-old can be lured away from the only club side of his career to Ashburton Grove.

The decision rests with Casillas and Madrid chief Florentino Perez, but won't be made until the end of the season and may rest on Jose Mourinho's future.

Right-back Bacary Sagna is set to leave Arsenal in the summer and he could be offered as part of the deal, although the Gunners do have the money for a cash-only bid if necessary.

Casillas has spent 23 years with Real Madrid, 14 of them with the first-team squad. He has also won 143 caps for Spain.

Would Casillas move to Arsenal if they fail to finish in the top four? Give us your shout below...
