Lille ace Eden Hazard says he wants to be the best player in the world.
Despite penning a new deal with Lille, the French club will have their resolve tested in the summer as Chelsea, Arsenal and Liverpool continue their pursuit of the Belgian.
"I am playing to write myself in the history books," says Hazard.
"I want to be declared this season the best player in Ligue Une.
"Today, Lionel Messi is the world's best - but I know what I have to do to get to that level."
