Arsenal are interested in Ajax defender Gregory van der Wiel.

The Sunday Mirror says Van der Wiel ­could arrive at Arsenal for £7million.

The Dutchman has less than a year to run on his current deal and been told not to expect first-choice status at Ajax while a new contract remains unsigned.
