Arsenal legend Tony Adam is excited about the challenge of taking charge of Azerbaijan's Gabala.
When it comes to management, says Adams, 43, England is no country for young men.
"I would have been more mad to stay in this country and develop," he ventures. "This has been an easy decision. It really has."
He also told the Mail on Sunday: "The mad decision would have been to go and be West Ham manager. But in that infrastructure? What levels of debt have you got? What players can you recruit? And if you stay in the Premier League, you've done great.
"Then take David Moyes. He has spent seven years at Everton going full pelt to stay still. I could have applied for jobs at, say, Bristol City or Reading but for what? Just to damage your reputation as a good coach, like Brendan Rodgers did through no fault of his own? To hit a glass ceiling?"
