Arsenal keeper Cech plays down Chelsea rift with Mourinho

Arsenal goalkeeper Petr Cech has poured cold water on rumours of a rift with his former Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho.

Cech completed a £10million move from Stamford Bridge to the Emirates Stadium earlier this summer.

He is expected to start in goals for the Gunners against his former club in Sunday's Community Shield clash.

However, the 33-year-old told The Sun he would not be carrying any lingering ill-feeling towards Mourinho.

"I am grateful to the owner Mr Abramovich for giving the permission," Cech said.

"Has it soured relations between myself and Jose? Not at all.

"He made his decision but that will never change the respect we have for each other."
