Arsenal goalkeeper Manuel Almunia says Nicklas Bendtner will improve - if people around him tell him a few home truths.
Five months ago, Bendtner boasted that he would be top scorer in the Premier League, top scorer at the World Cup and "among the best strikers in the world" within five years.
"Trust me, it will happen," he said.
"I look around at other players, I see my own ability and I can't see anything that tells me it won't."
For the win over Burnley, Bendtner turned in a scattergun performance which left home fans frustrated.
"Nicklas is a special guy," said Almunia. "He is young, he is learning and he needs people around who will tell him the truth. When he does well, everyone will tell him he has done well.
"When he misses the goals he needs someone to push him to improve and develop.
"That's what we will try to do."
