Swiss international prodigy Eren Derdiyok is a target for Arsenal.

The Daily Mail says manager Arsene Wenger has been impressed by the 19-year-old, who has just helped FC Basel win a league and cup double - and who also interests Newcastle.

Striker Derdiyok scored a spectacular goal against England on his national debut as Switzerland lost 2-1 at Wembley in February. Basel have already rejected a £2.5m bid for the teenager from Turkish club Trabzonspor.
