Arsenal have joined the battle for Sunderland winger Stephane Sessegnon. The Sunday Sun says the Gunners are understood to have made an initial enquiry about the Benin international - who has also been linked with newly-crowned Premier League champions Manchester City - but have been put off by the asking price.
Sunderland boss Martin O'Neill has repeatedly made it clear that he wants Sessegnon to stay on Wearside, but at the same time he knows that a mega-money bid would be too good to turn down - and would fund his own rebuilding plans.
