Arsenal icon Henry: United Juventus performance warranted victory

Thierry Henry says Juventus thoroughly deserved their Champions League semi-final triumph over Real Madrid.

The Bianconeri progressed to their first European final since 2003 by defeating Real 3-2 on aggregate after holding the Spanish giants to a 1-1 draw at the Santiago Bernabeu on Wednesday night.

Real huffed and puffed in the second half after Alvaro Morata put Juventus ahead in the two-legged tie but Massimiliano Allegri's defence held strong to produce a warranted win in the eyes of Sky Sports and Arsenal legend Henry who felt the unity of the Italians shone through.

"There was more togetherness in the Juventus side," said Henry.

"And it does not matter if you have better players - we all know Madrid has a better squad and players - but sometimes in big games you need that togetherness."

Juventus will now meet Barcelona in the final in Berlin on June 6.
