Arsenal goalkeeper Raya delighted taking Spain chance

Arsenal goalkeeper David Raya is delighted to be with the Spain squad this week.

Raya is being celebrated in North London after his Champions League shootout heroics against Porto.

He said at today's Spain media conference: "I said it right after the match, if I did what the goalkeeping coach told me, I would have stopped all three. You have to look at the present and not at the past, I'll see what season I've had. Now it's time to help the National Team.

“My favourite goalkeeper? I'll stick with (Iker) Casillas, he's someone to watch. Everything he has achieved with the National Team and with Real Madrid... he was my hero when I was little."

Raya also said of Spain coach Luis de la Fuente's call: "The one who chooses is the coach, people can give their opinion and it is clear that what he decides cannot be liked by everyone. The coach makes the list and those of us who come show that we are here for something."
