England international Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain has revealed the similarities between Arsene Wenger and Gareth Southgate.

Oxlade-Chamberlain enjoyed a wonderful campaign last term with both Arsenal as well as the England national team and the 23-year-old has now gone on to credit his managers Arsene Wenger and Gareth Southgate for the success.

The former Southampton starlet stated that Wenger and Southgate are similar in the sense that both managers can connect well with the younger players and added that the England boss has allowed the youngsters a platform to flourish.

The Arsenal attacker said: "He's younger, that's the main thing. They're both great managers. Gareth is really well connected to the younger players and I guess that's the main similarity with Arsene. Clearly he, just like Arsene, gives the young players a platform to go on and hopefully do good things."
