Arsenal are being linked with Real Madrid fullback Alvaro Arbeloa.
AS says they could make a surprise swoop for ex-Liverpool star Arbeloa as they seek to strengthen their defence.
Defensive pair Mathieu Debuchy and Calum Chambers have already arrived from Newcastle United and Southampton respectively.
Arbeloa is viewed at Arsenal as a potential replacement for unsettled skipper Thomas Vermaelen.
