Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger insists he does not need to sign any new defenders in the summer transfer window.
Critics suggest the Gunners need another quality centre-back to challenge for the Premier League title but Wenger feels his defensive stocks with the likes of Laurent Koscielny, Per Mertesacker, Calum Chambers and Gabriel Paulista plus full-backs Mathieu Debuchy and Nacho Monreal can handle the load.
"Four is enough," Wenger said ahead of Monday night's clash with Swansea City.
"Debuchy can play there, Monreal can play there, so you can say we are not out to buy a central defender."
Wenger also indicated that Brazilian Gabriel will adapt to English football and become a key part of the Arsenal squad.
"And Gabriel will be a great central defender, believe me," he added.
