Arsenal are determined not to miss out on Lille striker Gervinho.

The Daily Mail says Arsenal will table a £12m bid for Lille forward Gervinho this week as they look to head off growing interest from Manchester City.

Tottenham and Newcastle have also tried to sign the 24-year-old, with Spurs having a £10.6m bid rejected.

For his part, Gervinho insists he wants to join a club playing in the Champions League.
