Arsene Wenger felt his Arsenal side were good enough for the draw they recorded at Manchester United on Sunday.
The Gunners were dominated early at Old Trafford, falling behind to Ander Herrera's 30th-minute volley, before Tyler Blackett's deflection from Theo Walcott's attempt in the final 10 minutes drew them level.
After the contest, Wenger spoke of Arsenal's desire to respond to the challenge the Red Devils lay down before claiming a much-deserved point on the road.
"I am pleased with the performance and the only regret I have is we didn't take the three points," said the Frenchman.
"We were a bit slow to start, Man Utd was sharper at the beginning and we were a bit stretched as well. In the second half we were more compact and took over and showed a great response.
"We got a deserved point. We won more duels and had enough chances to win the game in the end."
