Arsenal defender Pablo Mari enjoying Monza loan: I get along with Berlusconi and Galliani

Arsenal defender Pablo Mari is enjoying his loan with Monza.

The Serie A surprise packet is owned by former AC Milan president Silvio Berlusconi and managed by the Rossonero's former vice-president Adriano Galliani.

"I see both," Mari told Cadena SER. "Berlusconi's tighter schedule means we see him less. We have seen him three or four times that he has come to encourage us in the locker room.

"And I get along very well with Galliani, he comes to practically all the training sessions, he is on all the trips and he is a very close person. He has been a pleasant surprise on a personal level.

"I don't think that having Galliani and Berlusconi has any influence either at the media level or within the field. In the end, what we are achieving is because we have earned it ourselves."

He added: "I was open to other options. I knew I had to go back to Arsenal, where I had no place. Although I didn't have that mentality when I came back, I wanted to earn an opportunity in the eyes of Mikel (Arteta). At all times I was told that they did not count on me and, from then on, going to the market, Italy called our attention a lot."
